New Liebherr piling rig | Enhanced power and performance on site

We’re pleased to share a further investment that strengthens delivery across Franki Foundations’ live and upcoming projects.
Following the acquisition by Statom Group, a new Liebherr LRB355.1 piling rig has been added to the fleet. The rig, which is the first of its kind in the UK, brings increased capability and enhance our array of techniques. With up to 450kNm of torque, and hydraulic self-erecting mast, the investment is key to supporting technically demanding piling operations where reliability, quality and speed are key. The rig is capable of installing up to 35.5m CFA and Displacement piles, 26m Double Rotary (Cased CFA) piles, Rotary piles up to 4.4m diameter, along with sheet piling and soil mixing
The rig is already operational on the Seal House scheme, contributing to foundation works in a constrained environment where plant capability and precision play a critical role in safe, efficient delivery. The innovative features such as ground pressure visualisation where actual ground pressure is calculated in real time are already providing considerable benefits where specified bearing pressure limits need to be assessed and controlled.
